Summary

This role will work in DX – MARS Team (Metrics, Analytics, Reporting & Solutions) and will be responsible for cultivating a culture of Measurement Centricity within R&D to ensure continuous improvement in ways of working, leveraging both quantitative and qualitative means. Candidate will define Key Performance Indicators, Key Quality Indicators, Key Risk Indicators, and other targeted operational metrics in collaboration with R&D Line Functions. Candidate will establish internal and external benchmarks to inform future planning and target setting. Candidate will oversee the build and governance of a Metrics Library with clear definitions and thresholds along with mappings to processes and roles. Candidate will be responsible for managing external Benchmarking Study Submissions and seeking out external competitive intelligence to provide line of sight to outside environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Metrics, Define, Build and Govern Metrics, KPIs, KRIs, KQIs across all RD LFs. Define Cycle Times, Identity key milestones at Study, Country, and Site Level to gauge clinical trial performance. Build and Maintain Metrics Catalog, Dashboards Catalog along with strategy for End User Education and Dashboards adoption.

  • External Benchmarking Competitive Intelligence. Leverage public source data (Citeline , CMR , KMR, MCC ) to evaluate competitive landscape and compare / contrast to internal benchmarks/KPI’s. Submit required data for External Benchmarking Surveys, distill insights and Socialize Outputs. Seek opportunities to secure new external data drive partnership with vendors in this space

  • Collaboration Partner with Functional Leaders/SMEs to ensure alignment on Metric targets, usage, insights, and outputs. Partner closely with key roles in Global DX / GDO / GCO / BDM / RD Finance/ CSPV/ Regulatory Operations / QA to ensure optimal definition and adoption of metrics. Act as a Liaison between MARS and RD Line Functions for promotion of Metrics and Dashboards strategy.

  • Team Management Manage the Metrics Business Analyst Team

Qualifications : Successful candidates will be able to meet the qualifications below with or without a reasonable accommodation.

Education Qualifications: (from an accredited college or university)

  • Bachelor's Degree bachelor's degree in computer science, Life Science, Engineering, Business Administration or related field or equivalent work experience required Experience Qualifications

  • 7 or More Years Minimum 7 years’ experience in life sciences, pharma with Clinical Trials Operational Data, Clinical Operational Metrics and Milestones. required

  • 4 or More Years Minimum 5 years’ experience with one or more clinical systems like CTMS, EDC, eTMF, Planisware, Product Registry, Regulatory etc. required

  • 4 or More Years Experience in working with CRO data for execution of large global clinical trials. required

  • Solid understanding of Metrics, KPIs, KRIs and KQIs related to large scale global clinical trial end to end execution. preferred

  • Demonstrated ability to influence at all senior organizational levels through clear, concise, and impactful verbal and written communication skills. preferred

  • Experience analyzing, extracting, and communicating insights along with driving tangible improvements in metric outcomes. preferred

  • Knowledge of Industry Metrics Standards such as the Metrics Champion Consortium preferred

  • Experience managing Benchmarking study submissions working with vendors such as CMR/KMR preferred

  • Excellent documentation skills in MS Word, Excel, Confluence and JIRA preferred
